Recognize Gifts from Masonic Lodge

Background Information:

Board Policy #2.401 provides, “The director of schools is authorized to accept gifts to the school system and may designate others to accept gifts for particular schools on behalf of the Board. The Board will officially express appreciation to the donor and all major gifts will be reported to the Board and publicly announced.”

Kelly Walker, on behalf of the Masonic Lodge, donated ten (10), 20” bicycles, two (2)  for each elementary school, to be awarded to students by the end of the school year. At each elementary school, one (1) bicycle will be awarded based on reading achievement, as determined by the school’s principal. The second bicycle at each elementary school will be awarded based on one or a combination of the following: mastery of the most math objectives; most overall progress; perfect attendance; or for outstanding character.

On behalf of the Board and our school administrators, I sincerely appreciate the gifts made by the Masonic Lodge to recognize our outstanding students.
